Should you be hunting for a blender, we spied this Ninja Blender on sale for £68 (down from £90).
Strategist UK editor Ailbhe Malone owns an older version (without the “Auto iQ”, a digital interface). She calls it a “an excellent Nutribullet dupe”, and uses it for blitzing pine nuts for pesto, making frozen fruit smoothies and blending out a puttanesca sauce. If you want to make something like peanut butter, the motor will complain, but for everyday use – and ease of cleaning – it’s a breeze.
Ninja’s food blenders also came recommended by private chef Ms Joyce K, and Keith Squires, the chef at the Dru Yoga Centre in Snowdonia. Squires uses the the 900 W model, with an attached spice grinder (also on sale).
