Today is the last day of John Lewis’ spring sale, with up to 40 percent off on womenswear. Among the slew of discounted wedding-guest clothes (there are several on-sale dresses from Whistles, Ghost, and more, should you be interested), we spotted this charming trench coat by Mango. It’s now £70 (down from £90) and available in sizes XS to XL.
A few things we like about it: Firstly, it’s water-repellent, so it can hold up to a drizzly loop around the park with a friend. Secondly, the tortoiseshell buttons and belt buckle contrast pleasingly with the off-grey shade of the jacket (the listing says “pastel,” but in the styled shots, we think it’s more of a greige). Finally, we think it would look as nice with a merino rollneck and jeans now as it would thrown over a sundress, in case of an unseasonal shower in the summertime.
