We’ve long-desired a Chris Black–recommended Iittala Aalto vase, but at over £130, it’s not cheap. So we were pleased to spy a similar-shaped vase by Danish design company Hay — which is currently on sale for 40 percent off.
The Hay Iris vase is now £39 (down from £65), and is handmade in Japan from unglazed porcelain. It goes without saying that it’s the perfect vessel for peony season, but we can also see it later in the year, holding some crisscrossed holly branches at a Christmas dinner table.
