While looking through Amazon’s daily deals this morning, we spied this Crosstour projector on sale — it’s now £76, down from £100. The wireless device is Wi-Fi-enabled, so you can use screen mirroring to share videos from your smartphone. It’s also compatible with laptops, tablets, Fire Sticks, and other devices via the projector’s ports (which include HDMI, AV, and USB).
The projector has a 3,500 lumen display (the measurement of emitted light), which is more than powerful enough for enjoying movies at home. By contrast, when we researched the best projectors, we found that 5,500 lumen was the best strength for outdoor (daytime) use, but this would be fine for nighttime viewings.
It also features dual stereo speakers with surround sound and charges with a power cable, which is supplied. We also like the fact that it comes with a three-year guarantee and that it’s quite lightweight too.
Note: Due to copyright issues, videos from streaming services — including Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Disney+ — can’t be duplicated using screen mirroring, but they can be shown by connecting the projector to a PC or laptop.
And a highly rated screen to project onto
While several reviewers projected against sheets, living rooms, and even the occasional shed, this enthusiastically reviewed projector screen would ensure that your picture quality is a little more consistent.
