Our eyes fell upon these rather wearable pearl hoops at the Outnet. They’re by American designer Kenneth Jay Lane (best known for his dramatic costume jewellery, as worn by Jackie O and others), but are now £20 (down from £38).
We like the slightly scrolled detail on the hoops, as well as the Alighieri-ish pearl in the middle — all of which makes them interesting enough to wear on a work Zoom, but not zany. We think they’d look especially nice with a wool polo-neck, or grazing the collar of a puffa jacket while on a stroll.
A note for those with sensitive lobes: These hoops are 22-karat gold-plated, although the base metal (according to the listing) is tin and silver.
