When we spoke to hair experts about the best hair masks, Dianna Cohen, founder of the new hair-care line Crown Affair, said that her “favourite hair mask of all time” is the Regenerating Mask from Christophe Robin. She calls it “the most universal hydrating mask,” and says that you would just use a 5p-sized amount if you have finer hair, and more if you have thicker or curlier hair. The mask is usually £54 for 250ml, but we spied a holiday sale leftover at Look Fantastic: a duo with a 50ml Regenerating Mask, and a 40ml scalp scrub. Already cheap, the duo is further discounted to £13.60: It’s an economical way to try out an expensive mask (and of course, the scalp scrub too.)
Cohen says she uses the hair mask about twice a week. She leaves the mask on for about 15 minutes, and then rinses it out with cold water. If you want to truly luxuriate with your hair mask, Cohen told us the ingredients in the Christophe Robin mask take well to heat — apply it under a shower cap, and then put a hot towel on top.
