This North Face Sierra puffer jacket is part of their Liberty collaboration (the fleeces are also on sale). Reduced by over £100 to £280, it’s now a comparable price to the (perennially sold-out) North Face Nuptse. Like the Nuptse, it’s oversized, but there are some additional parka-like details (we like the toggles on the removable hood), and it’s slightly less bulky (the Sierra has a 600-fill, and the Nuptse has a 700-fill).
When we spoke to stylish women about their favourite puffer jackets, Thy.Self founder Chloe Pierre told us that the ethical down was a key factor in her North Face purchase (she’s also a Nuptse fan): “I’m an ethical shopper, so this makes a difference to me and justifies the higher price point. It’s an investment item.” It’s worth mentioning that the down in the Sierra is recycled to boot.
