Here at the Strategist UK, we like to think of ourselves as crazy (in the good way) about the stuff we buy, but as much as we’d like to, we can’t try everything. Which is why we have People’s Choice, in which we find the best-reviewed products and single out the most convincing ones. (You can learn more about our rating system and how we pick each item here.)

While we’ve written about all kinds of bedroom essentials before — including the best mattresses and the best weighted blankets — here, we’ve rounded up the best anti-snore pillows, as praised by the most enthusiastic reviewers on Amazon.co.uk.

Best-rated overall anti-snore pillow

Power Of Nature Memory Foam Pillow
£40

The best-rated overall anti-snore pillow was this one by Power of Nature; 67 percent of the reviews were five stars. Fifty-two reviewers wrote that they were impressed by the quality of the memory foam, while a further 27 customers said they thought the overall quality was excellent. The pillow’s “contour” shape helps prevent the sleeper from rolling on their back (a factor that may affect your snoring, due to the muscles in the throat relaxing). One woman said her husband’s snoring “noticeably decreased” as soon as he switched to this pillow, while another customer said their snoring stopped altogether. Seventy-two customers wrote that this pillow helped their neck pains, while a further 17 mentioned shoulder pains disappearing after swapping their regular pillow for this model. Though the unusual shape still fits in most pillowcases, several reviewers wrote that they found the cumbersome shape less appealing than a standard pillow. Best-rated wedge anti-snore pillow

Wedge pillows work in much the same way as contour pillows, allowing for better breathing by encouraging side sleeping. This wedge pillow by Milliard has 69 percent five-star reviews and was popular with snorers because of its gentler incline than others on the market. One reviewer called it firm without being uncomfortable, saying that their snoring has completely stopped — and it’s even cured their acid reflux. Another wrote that while it took a few nights to get used to the elevated sleep position, their breathing has never been clearer at night; they also said that the pillow looks unobtrusive when the bed is made up. It’s even got positive reviews from people who don’t snore; one woman bought one for her husband, then after he spoke highly of it, she bought a matching pillow and said she stopped waking up in the middle of the night as a result.

Best-rated bamboo anti-snore pillow

Ecosafeter Contour Memory Foam Bamboo Pillow
£23

Ecosafeter’s pillow, which features a bamboo-woven cover, has 60 percent five-star reviews, and comes “highly recommended” by 84 reviewers, including one person who called it “the pillow of my dreams.” Some 111 reviewers mentioned the soft memory foam, but the bamboo fibres were also a big selling point. One reviewer said that, while the pillow feels notably different from a feather pillow, they would now never go back to another model after using this for several months. Another called it a highly breathable pillow, which was especially helpful for anyone who found adjusting to sleeping on their side more cumbersome. The natural moisture-wicking properties of bamboo were also mentioned by one reviewer, who said that it provided a cooling sensation, comparing it to sleeping on a cloud.

Best-rated shredded anti-snore pillow

Reviewers highly recommended this Supportiback anti-snore pillow for the “shredded” memory foam, which they say is more malleable than standard memory foam (one reviewer likened it to down). Thirty-six reviewers singled out the shredded memory foam as a more comfortable alternative to memory foam — another 86 reviewers said shoulder and neck pain has been reduced. Twenty-four customers said their snoring has drastically improved. These included a man who wrote that his snoring has been reduced and someone who said their snoring was cut. Additionally, it came recommended by one reviewer who used to snore so badly they woke themselves up. And 136 customers also wrote that they have had a better night’s sleep since using this pillow.
