If You Buy One Thing on Prime Day, Make It This Massaging Hair-Removal Device

If you’re epilator-curious, the Braun Silk-épil is a good place to start. Allow Strategist contributor Fiona Byrne to explain: “There’s a rotating head with inset tweezer-type things that spin around, akin to a paint roller. You move it over your skin as you would a razor, except instead of shaving your hair, it’s plucking each one out. Even the short, fine ones. It even has a little light, so you won’t miss even the finest little hair. Sure, the concept of mass tweezing may sound insanely painful, but it isn’t — not for me anyway.”

What sets the Silk-épil apart from other epilators is that it can be used wet or dry, and that it has a massage setting. Bryne adds that the massager is crucial to managing the (slight) discomfort – though it might be slightly painful on the first use, the pain is “alleviated somewhat thanks to a ‘massage’ element in the roller that stimulates the skin with micropulsations while in use.” The Silk-épil is now more than half price (in fact, it’s the cheapest it’s ever been): £150, down from £370.

The Strategist UK is designed to surface the most useful, expert recommendations for things to buy across the vast e-commerce landscape. Read about who we are and what we do here. Our editors update links when possible, but note that deals can expire and all prices are subject to change.
